Content ID requires exclusive rights to original, sufficiently distinct reference audio in the territories claimed. Metadata must clearly identify title, artist and label. Separate Artists from Contributors. Primary and Featured are artist roles; composer, lyricist, producer, remixer and performer are contributor roles. For an existing artist profile, select it or add the correct Spotify and Apple Music artist IDs. A wrong ID can send the release to another profile. How do release dates, singles and albums work?

Choose a date with enough lead time. Every single, EP or album is a separate product with its own UPC. Whenever possible, schedule at least 14 days ahead. The original release date is used for content that was already published in the past. To release singles before an album, create each single separately. Later create the album and reuse the already distributed recordings so their ISRCs remain unchanged. Do not reuse a UPC for a different product. An album and its earlier single have different UPCs even when they share a track. UPC, ISRC, product format, track count, order and replacement with a different recording cannot be changed as a normal update. Create a new release when these elements change. Streams and sales are therefore not real-time. Open the distribution statement for transaction-level details, downloadable reports, balance history and any payout action available for your account. Store deductions and streaming calculations differ by DSP, territory, subscription type and reporting period; the report contains the confirmed amount supplied by each service. Use the statement—not an estimated stream counter—for accounting and payout decisions.

When should I use Smart Link, Pre-Save and Fast Delivery?

How do cover-song licenses work?

A cover uses someone else’s composition. You must control your new master and be able to prove the right to reproduce and distribute the composition. How should AI contributions be disclosed?

Declare a role as AI-generated only when that specific contribution was created entirely by AI, such as vocals, lyrics, performance, mixing or mastering. Do not mark a complete role as AI-generated when AI only assisted with ideas, editing or workflow. Credit the responsible artist persona or human contributor; do not enter the software or model name as a contributor and never imitate a known artist. If the AI field is visible in the current release form, complete it accurately. If it is not available, describe material AI contributions in the QC notes or contact Distrid. AI disclosure is currently a transparency measure and does not itself change royalties or streams. Availability of the dedicated field may vary while DSP standards evolve.

Which stores and DSP services can Distrid reach?

Availability depends on territory, catalogue type, rights and each DSP’s current agreement. The dashboard shows the destinations eligible for that release. Major music services include Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes/Shazam, Amazon Music/Audible, YouTube Music, Deezer, TIDAL, TikTok, Meta/Instagram, SoundCloud, Pandora, Qobuz, Beatport, Traxsource, Napster and regional stores. The network can also include AWA, Anghami, Boomplay, JioSaavn, Joox, KKBOX, NetEase, Tencent, Yango Play, 7digital, Claro música and rights/data partners such as ACRCloud, Audible Magic, BMAT, Gracenote, LyricFind and SoundExchange. Select only destinations compatible with your rights and content. Some services are automatic, some require a private label or prior authorization, and DSP availability can change. A selected DSP is a delivery request, not a publication guarantee. The DSP performs its own review and may reject, hide, restrict or remove content.

For Meta Rights Manager, covers, production loops, sound effects, sound-alikes, karaoke, classical compositions, spoken word, comedy, speeches, podcasts, audiobooks, nature or ambient recordings are generally ineligible as reference files. Deliver only sonically distinctive recordings for which you can authorize 100% of the claimed use. Keep exclusive-rights evidence and remove the rights-matching destination when the licence is non-exclusive. A release may still be eligible for an ordinary TikTok or Facebook/Instagram music library even when it is not eligible for fingerprinting or Rights Manager.

Upload a 5000 × 5000 avatar and a 2560 × 1440 banner in JPG, PNG or WebP. Add at least one valid official website or social URL and accept the service terms. Use profiles that clearly belong to the artist. Before confirming, the summary shows whether one LABEL channel credit will be used or payment is required in your current currency. Submitting a request does not guarantee the selected publication date. A channel purchased outside a LABEL credit includes one video upload. A channel opened with a LABEL channel credit instead uses the separate LABEL upload balance for videos. Renewals apply the allowances configured for the current plan.
